These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MatchMake website, software, tools, content, community spaces, and related services (the “Service”) operated by MatchMake Limited (“MatchMake”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in the United Kingdom.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2.1 Age requirement. The Service is intended only for individuals aged 18 years or older. By using the Service, you confirm you are at least 18.
2.2 Personal, non-commercial use. The Service is provided for domestic and private use only. You agree not to use the Service for any commercial or business purpose.
2.3 Your responsibility. You are solely responsible for your betting activity, decisions, and outcomes. We do not act as your agent and do not place bets for you.
3.1 Accurate information. You must provide accurate, current, complete information when creating an Account and keep it updated.
3.2 Credential security. You must keep your login credentials confidential and secure. You are responsible for all activity under your Account, whether authorised by you or not.
3.3 No account sharing. Your Account is for one individual only. You must not share credentials, allow third-party access, or transfer your Account.
3.4 Suspension for suspected misuse. We may disable or suspend your Account, without notice, if we reasonably suspect unauthorised access, account sharing, fraud, automation, scraping, abusive usage patterns, or any breach of these Terms.
3.5 Notify us. If you know or suspect anyone other than you has access to your Account, you must notify us immediately at support@matchmake.org.uk.
4.1 Subscription required. Some or all of the Service requires an active paid Subscription.
4.2 Pricing. Current pricing, plan names, and inclusions are displayed on our website at the time of purchase and may change from time to time.
4.3 Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
4.4 How to cancel. You can cancel your Subscription via your account settings (where available) or by contacting support@matchmake.org.uk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless required otherwise by law.
4.5 Refunds. Except where required by UK consumer law, we do not provide refunds for partial periods, unused time, or access already provided.
4.6 Payment processor. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full card details. You are responsible for ensuring your payment method remains valid.
4.7 Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may suspend access until payment is successfully completed.
5.1 Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable UK law.
5.2 Where you have a legal right to cancel and receive a refund (including under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 where applicable), we will comply with those obligations.
6.1 Availability. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
6.2 Changes. We may update, change, suspend, withdraw, discontinue, or modify any part of the Service at any time, including features, pricing, access rules, or plan inclusions.
6.3 Maintenance and outages. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, third-party outages, or events outside our control.
6.4 Beta features. Some features may be labelled beta/experimental and may change or be removed without notice.
7.1 Educational only. The Service provides educational tools and software to help you understand matched betting mechanics and related concepts.
7.2 No gambling/financial/legal advice. Nothing on the Service constitutes gambling advice, financial advice, investment advice, or legal advice. You should obtain independent advice where appropriate.
7.3 No guarantees. We do not guarantee profits, outcomes, or any earnings. Examples are illustrative only. Results vary by user and circumstances.
7.4 Bookmaker terms. You are responsible for complying with bookmaker, exchange, and third-party terms and conditions. We do not condone unlawful activity or breaches of third-party contracts.
8.1 Third-party links. The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. Links are provided for convenience only and do not imply endorsement.
8.2 Integrations. If the Service enables integrations with third parties (including bookmakers, exchanges, or APIs), your contractual relationship remains solely with that third party.
8.3 No liability for third-party actions. We are not responsible for third-party availability, pricing, odds, data accuracy, account decisions, restrictions, closures, gubbing, limiting, suspensions, or any betting outcomes.
You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation:

We may monitor usage patterns to enforce these Terms and protect the Service.
10.1 Ownership. All intellectual property rights in the Service and Materials are owned by or licensed to MatchMake Limited and are protected by copyright, database rights, trade marks, and other laws.
10.2 Limited licence. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal use only, during an active Subscription, strictly in accordance with these Terms.
10.3 No copying, reuse, or derivative use. You agree that you will not copy, reproduce, rewrite, paraphrase, scrape, record, distribute, republish, transmit, store, mirror, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, translate, or create derivative works from any part of the Materials, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes, without our prior written consent.
This includes, without limitation:
10.4 Confidential access. The Service and Materials are provided to you on a confidential basis. You must not disclose, share, resell, sublicense, or otherwise make available any Materials to any third party.
10.5 Prohibited sharing to certain parties. In particular, you must not share any Materials with:
10.6 Restrictions on competitive use. During your Subscription, you must not use the Service or Materials, directly or indirectly, to build, operate, support, advise, consult, or assist any competing product or service. This does not restrict lawful competition based on independently developed knowledge and publicly available information.
10.7 Enforcement and remedies. Unauthorised use of the Materials is a material breach. If you breach this section, we may, without notice:
We reserve the right to seek injunctive relief, damages, costs, and any other remedies available under law or equity to protect our rights and those of our users.
11.1 Your responsibilities. You are responsible for any User Content you submit and warrant it complies with applicable law and these Terms.
11.2 Licence to us. You grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, copy, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and display your User Content in connection with operating, improving, and marketing the Service.
11.3 Removal and moderation. We may remove or restrict User Content at our discretion.
11.4 Identity disclosure. We may disclose your identity to third parties if they claim your User Content violates their rights or applicable law.
12.1 Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy (published on our website). By using the Service, you consent to such processing in accordance with those policies.
13.1 We do not guarantee that the Service will be secure or free from bugs or viruses.
13.2 You are responsible for configuring your devices, network, and software to access the Service safely and for using appropriate security and antivirus protections.
13.3 You must not introduce malware or attempt to attack the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and Materials are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant:
15.1 Excluded losses. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
15.2 Liability cap. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
15.3 Non-excludable liability. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MatchMake Limited from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
17.1 By you. You may end your Subscription by cancelling in accordance with Section 4.
17.2 By us. We may suspend or terminate your Account and access immediately if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, misused the Service, engaged in abuse, or created risk to us or other users.
17.3 Effect of termination. Upon termination:
17.4 Survival. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, confidentiality, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law.
We may revise these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on the website and may be notified to you by email.
Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
19.1 We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation. We will notify you if this happens.
19.2 You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to any other person.
19.3 No third party has rights to enforce these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
20.1 If any provision of these Terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in force.
20.2 If we delay enforcing any provision, we can still enforce it later.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
